Fiji Islands Real Estate The majority of land in Fiji (over 77%), is Native Land being owned by the local Fijian mataqali. This land cannot be sold under Fijian law although through the Native Land and Lease Bureau (NLTB) it may be leased. The remaining land is either Crown land (government owned) or Freehold land (owned by Title). Freehold land is sold at a premium, with small 1/4 acre vacant plots in Nadi selling for around F$60,000 and in Suva for about F$40,000. A typical three bedroom concrete house will cost around F$220,000. Rental properties go for between F$800 and F$2000 per month for a three bedroom house in Nadi or Suva. Executive houses rent for F$3000 per month and up. There are lots ofb real estate agents in Nadi and Suva which both sell and rent properties.
